Minka Kelly sure knows how to put together an outfit. She is pictured above out and about in New York City, starbucks in hand. She looks gorgeous!

What drew me to this look was her skirt. I love the print and it's absolutely perfect for summer. It's by Myne and she paired it with a plain white blouse by Theory. Add a bit of sparkle to your life

Pictured above is Selena Gomez shopping in London while she was over here promoting her third album. Although she is looking beautifully put together from head to toe, what stands out here is her embellished top.

Below are two sequined tops I found which are perfect for anyone inspired by Selena's look. The perfect thing about these is that they are great for any time of day. You could wear them with jeans and some cute flats for during the day, or a dark skirt and a clutch for going out at night. Either way you'll look fabulous.

Jessica Lowndes adds a touch of gold

Sparkle and shine

Pictured above is 90210 star Jessica Lowndes performing at the 2010 Holiday Tree Lighting and Grand Opening of L.A. Kings Holiday Ice event. She definitely lit up the stage with her outfit and it's easy to see why - her stunning gold sequined blazer steals the show! 

I searched but could not find where the blazer was from, but it still proves the point that you can spice up any casual outfit with some sparkle. Add one gold or sequined piece of clothing/accessory to your outfit and you will surely stand out wherever you go! Here are a few pieces I found for inspiration:

Trend alert: leather skirts

Leave your jackets at home!

Because it's all about the leather skirts! Pictured above is Step Up star Jenna Dewan Tatum wearing a unique leather pleated skirt. If I saw something like this on its own, I wouldn't usually go for it, but I love the way it's been put together with this outfit.

Jenna's skirt is by Alice + Olivia and can be bought here. I did some browsing and found some other great alternatives that are more affordable. The topshop one is perfect for anyone as you can incorporate it into your own style, but I especially love the pleated one.

Selena Gomez's Jovani dress

Selena glams it up for a cause

Recognise this picture? The outfit Selena Gomez is wearing here to the St Jude's Runway For Life Benefit is just one example of why she is my favourite style icon.

The dress is by Jovani, a high-end prom dress maker. I've always been a huge fan of Jovani, as each one of their dresses is absolutely gorgeous and one-of-a-kind. The brand is popular among celebrities; the dresses have been worn to red carpet events, concerts and even in magazines. Selena's dress is no longer available, but I saw a dress of a similar style on Miss Selfridge's website:

Get Miley's dress for less

Remember that post I did a while ago on Miley Cyrus and her beautiful Hervé Léger dresses? Well I found a great replica of the bandage dress she wore for a much better price!

Don't worry about sacrificing glamour for a lower price, because this Topshop clone is just as pretty. It's a toned down version, which I think is great because you can style it up with accessories and a clutch for nighttime, or just leave it plain and simple to stay chic during the day. In fact, when I went shopping today, my friend saw the dress (knowing nothing about this post I planned on doing) and said to me, "how cute is this?"

Miley's leather clogs

Topshop clogs fit for travel

Miley is seen here at LAX Airport, looking casual yet very well put together. I think this is mainly down to the way she finished off her outfit with the choice of some stand out leather clogs.

I would usually never think to buy shoes like that, but I love the way they keep Miley looking casual, but still give her a bit of an edge. I personally wouldn't wear pumps like these for travelling, but for casual events or outtings, they're a must have.
