Brightening up the room

Kristin Cavallari looked glowing at a dinner event hosted by Victoria's Secret last month. Despite the fact that she is wearing the most simple of outfits she still looks bright and stunning.

What I love about the dress is the colour. The gorgeous light blue tone is perfect for Kristin's skin tone and I love the angled and simplistically structured nature of the dress. It's by Naven Los Angeles, a collection filled with cocktail dresses that are both understated by design, yet bold with it's bright block colours.

LBD with a twist

Cropping around LA

Earlier in July, Lucy Hale was spotted at a launch event at Urban Outfitters in Los Angeles. The "Pretty Little Liars" star looked absolutely glowing in her dark floral crop tank and with her hair in a loose side braid.

In the midst of summer, crop tops are a great choice. For days out with family or friends choose a light and loose crop top together with jeans or shorts and you'll be ready for the summer heat. Here are a few that I've picked out:

Confident, fierce and feminine are the words that come to mind when looking at Kim Kardashian and Jamie Chung in the photos above. What they have in common is that Kim's jacket and Jamie's dress are both by Blu Moon.

Hollywood evening wear.

How classically beautiful do Ashley Benson and Kaley Cuoco look in the photo above? Both ladies are wearing dresses by Katharine Kidd, a California-based designer quickly becoming popular in Hollywood.

I first came across Katharine Kidd when I saw Ashley on the Jimmy Kimmel show. I usually don't have much to say about LBDs but I thought hers, as well as her styling, was gorgeous. I then went on to find out that Kaley's light and elegant Golden Globes dress was also by Katherine Kidd.

I can easily see her becoming a favourite in the celebrity fashion world. This quote from her website describes the style perfectly:

The season for tassels.

Welcome to part 3 of our posts on Selena Gomez in London. This girl is incapable of leaving her hotel room without making a fashion statement. She is pictured above in another gorgeous All Saints top.

What I personally love about this cropped top is the sandy colour which adds to the vintage feel. What stands out the most, though, are the tassels which seem to be a popular choice for celebrities and non-celebrities alike this season. As summer continues, people are reaching for their tasseled tops and accessories to wear on days out to picnics and festivals. Here, Selena went with something dressy to wear for a dinner date with family and friends.

Standing out in the City.

Kate Middleton causes another fashion frenzy

Fresh off her honeymoon with William, Duke of Cambridge, Kate Middleton went straight into her duties as a Royal with an official meeting with the Obamas (who were on their state visit to the UK and Ireland earlier this week). Even after marriage, Kate continues to be an international fashion icon. During the meeting, she chose to sport a gorgeous dress by high-street retailer Reiss.

The "Shola" dress she wore is elegant, classy and retails at just £175. It's no wonder it sold out within hours of this photo being released. Second-hand versions are being sold over ebay at prices over £400! Luckily, Reiss will be restocking the dress in order to meet unprecedented demand.

Wednesday marked the beginning of red carpet fashion in 2011. Entertainers came together to celebrate the People's Choice Awards, and they certainly wowed us on the "blue carpet". Pictured above are "Shake It Up" star Bella Thorne and actor/singer Selena Gomez, my personal picks for best dressed. Bella is wearing a stunning nude dress by Haute Hippie and Selena's "butterfly dress" is by Irina Shabayeva. Both numbers are beautiful and elegant but still very youthful. Sparkle and shine

Earlier this month was Fashion's Night Out in New York City and Cambio was on hand to cover the whole event. Above is the video from the Teen Vogue Party of which 90210 actor Shenae Grimes was the host.

The first is my favourite. It's a stunning brown sequin dress that is perfect for formal nights out. I like the versatility of the dress, as it has the potential to be used for multiple occasions.

Because it's all about the leather skirts! Pictured above is Step Up star Jenna Dewan Tatum wearing a unique leather pleated skirt. If I saw something like this on its own, I wouldn't usually go for it, but I love the way it's been put together with this outfit.

Best dressed in New York

The 2010 Met Costume Institute Gala was held in New York City earlier this year, and I have to say that Blake Lively stole the show - she was definitely my pick for best dressed on the red carpet.

Blake Lively wore a beautiful dress by Marchesa, part of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The dress is one-shoulder and a striking blue, decorated with a pretty and elaborate floral detail. The shape, the design and the colour are what I love about this dress and what make it so unique.

Marchesa is known for it's stunning and graceful dresses (for an example, check out the post on Taylor Momsen's red carpet style). However, what I love even more about Blake's dress is that it's short. Blake manages to be elegant while still being age-appropriate, because after all, she's young and so should be having fun with fashion!

Comfortable and trendy for the airport

When I saw Megan Fox (pictured above) leaving the NYC airport I was struck by how gorgeous she looked, despite the fact that she was wearing the most casual of clothing. Perfect proof that you can still be trendy when you travel, without having to compromise comfort.

Firstly, Megan is wearing a black Rebel Yell tank top and some Billabong trousers. I like the combination of the decorative top with the dark and subtly patterned trousers, as they compliment each other very well. She then topped off her look with a baggy hoodie, a pair of white Nike trainers (sneakers), a backpack and some gorgeous cheetah print sunglasses. I love Megan's outfit, and it's definitely my style, but this guide can be adapted to suit your own personal preferences.

Daytime on the Upper East Side

Say hello to one of the newest additions to the Gossip Girl cast. Katie Cassidy will be joining the show in season 4 as Juliet Sharp, Nate's new girlfriend and a Columbia University student. Juliet has already made her mark in Manhattan with this lovely high-end, high-fashion outfit.

Juliet is wearing a dress by Yigal Azrouel. This dress is so typical Upper East Side. I can see Blair wearing something just like it. What I love about it is the nude colour, the bodycon shape, and the cute ruffled detail on the side.

Colourful for the holidays

Still looking for that perfect summer outfit? Spotted out and about was Demi Lovato (pictured above) sporting a great everyday look. What's cool about it is that it's subtle, yet still fun and fresh.

She wore a blue and purple themed camisole top from Urban Outfitters, which I think is a nice alternative to the typical greens, yellows and other bright colours that most people wear during the season. She wore a light-coloured jeans jacket by Vince Denim on top and for accessories, Demi went for some aviator sunglasses. I would personally choose a pair of white shorts, or some white corduroy trousers (depending on the weather) to finish off the outfit.

Kim Kardashian is always looking fresh and well put together, and although it's not obvious, I think credit is partly due to her makeup. I know a lot of people are interested in the products she uses and how she creates her look, so here is a mini-guide for those interested. Kim uses mainly MAC, one of the cheaper higher-end brands, but if that's too expensive, there are dupes for pretty much every MAC product, so just use what you have and what you like!

Face
Kim uses the Intuit Photo Shoot face primer after having moisturized her face and then uses the Cle De Peau concealer stick in the colour Ocher. Alternatively she uses MAC's Studio Sculpt concealer in NW25. For foundation, she uses the Make Up Forever liquid foundation, mixing colours No. 5 and No. 4 with the MAC 180 buffer brush. In the winter, she uses colour No. 3. She uses MAC's Select Moisturecover in shade NW30. To set the foundation, she uses a powder brush to lightly brush on MAC's Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC30 and then uses NW45 for a more tanned look.

Cheeks
Kim uses MAC's Sheertone blush in Gingerly and then MAC's Cheek blush. She also likes using cream blushes.

Eyes
First she primes her eye using the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and her choice of eyeshadow depends on the look she's going for. For black smoky, Carbon, for grey smoky, Knight Divine, for brown smoky, Embark and for a fresh shimmery look, Tan pigment (all by MAC). She also enjoys playing with colour, using her Make Up Forever pigments. For eyeliner she uses the Stila black pencil. For mascara, she coats on the MAC Zoom mascara and then uses Lancome Hypnose on top, using a separator brush to separate her lashes.

Lips
She normally uses MAC Lipliner in Stripdown and then a MAC lipstick in Angel and NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss on top. For a nude look, she uses MAC Subculture lipliner first, and then wears NARS Belle De Jour lipstick.

A true work of art

As my favourite thing when it comes to fashion is handbags, you won't be surprised to hear that my jaw quite literally dropped at the sight of this beauty on Vanessa Anne Hudgens' arm (in the picture above). This bag is definitely going on my wishlist.

Alexander Wang is a celebrity favourite, and with handbags like this, I can see why. The "Diego" bucket bag is black leather, with studded detailing, some pockets and a choice of two straps. I just love everything about it!

Additionally, I can't talk about this bag while ignoring the other fabulous accessories. She has on a cute pair of Betsey Johnson sunglasses, and a Barneys New York woven belt.

Embellished evening wear

Spotted at the "A Broadway Celebration" at the White House earlier this week was actress Kerry Washington. Although it's difficult to see from the image, she was wearing a very beautiful Alice + Olivia dress.

The "gabby embellished blouson tank dress" is a cute and sophisticated number, and what's great about the dress is that it's formal without being too loud. I've seen very similar designs (loose with grey and white stripes) for casual dresses in many high street stores, but the embellishments are what make it evening-appropriate.

While browsing through the cover shoot of the July 2010 edition of Teen Vogue (featuring former couple Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas) I was immediately struck by the picture above, in particular by the sweater Demi wore.

She is wearing a cashmere & wool sweater by Chloé which consists of striking argyle patterns, and the colours are simply gorgeous. There are many ways this sweater can be worn. For example, a more vintage look like Demi in the photoshoot, or give it a modern twist with some jeans and sunglasses. Either way the sweater is a stand-out item.

Queen Bee glamour on Pretty Little Liars

Ever since I saw promo pictures before it aired, I've been in love with Hanna Marin's look from the Homecoming episode of Pretty Little Liars (1.6 There's No Place Like Homecoming).

Hanna (played by Ashley Benson)'s outfit was by far my favourite of the four girls. She looked fabulous from head to toe, matching a stunning one-of-a-kind dress with the perfect accessories. The dress, which is by Sue Wong, consisted of "a ruched, daring V-neckline. Tonal beads and sequins sparkle at the shoulders and contoured Empire waist" with "wispy ostrich feathers [gracing] the tiered skirt". Have you ever seen anything like it?

The look was made even more glamourous with Hanna's choice of bold statement accessories. Such a loud, extravagant dress would usually call for a subtler choice, but Hanna rejected that idea completely, opting for a look more worthy of a Homecoming queen.

The layered necklace is eye-catching and adds more style to the outfit, matching perfectly with the colour of her dress. I especially love the earrings, a diamond-shaped dropping pair, which finish of the look perfectly. Fashion for the Upper East Side rebel

Jenny Humphrey is known for her bold, daring and ever-changing style on Gossip Girl and she has certainly evolved the most over the three seasons. Recently, UK high street store Miss Selfridge teamed up with the show to create an 8-piece Gossip Girl inspired fashion line, and I think the "Jenny" dresses are definitely worth blogging about.

Personally, I don't think the other dresses (inspired by Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf and Vanessa Abrams) reflect the characters' fashion sense at all, but as soon as I saw the "Jenny" dresses (pictured below) they reminded me of her, and that was before I even knew about the line! The two dresses are a great example of how varied Jenny's style is. Her choices can never be predicted, but always reflect her personality and state of mind at the time.

To the left we have a cute little floral number (the perfect alternative to an LBD) which represents the girly side to Jenny and to the right, a casual but dark and grungy look to represent her more laid-back and artistic nature.

Recognise this picture? The outfit Selena Gomez is wearing here to the St Jude's Runway For Life Benefit is just one example of why she is my favourite style icon.

The dress is by Jovani, a high-end prom dress maker. I've always been a huge fan of Jovani, as each one of their dresses is absolutely gorgeous and one-of-a-kind. The brand is popular among celebrities; the dresses have been worn to red carpet events, concerts and even in magazines. Victoria's Secret show stylin'

It's been a while since Hayden Panettiere stunned the celebrity fashion world when she appeared at the Victoria's Secret fashion show in this gorgeous black and white striped dress, but that doesn't make it any less fabulous!

I couldn't find where the exact dress was from, but I was browsing Forever 21 recently, and when I came across this dress (pictured below) it instantly reminded me of it. I love the way Hayden's dress fits her figure perfectly, and her minimal accessories really let the pattern pop. This Forever 21 dupe has wider stripes but it's just as pretty.

Don't worry about sacrificing glamour for a lower price, because this Topshop clone is just as pretty. It's a toned down version, which I think is great because you can style it up with accessories and a clutch for nighttime, or just leave it plain and simple to stay chic during the day. In fact, when I went shopping today, my friend saw the dress (knowing nothing about this post I planned on doing) and said to me, "how cute is this?"

Evening dress fit for day

It's been a while since I've done a Gossip Girl related post. The fashion on the show is incredible, and Season 3 wasn't an exception. Pictured above is Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester) wearing a beautiful Burberry brocade dress.

The funny thing about this dress is that most people (including me) would consider it to be an evening dress for special occasions only. However, on Blair it doesn't look out of place at all. It is something she would typically wear for a day out in Manhattan with Serena van der Woodsen.

I first came across Foley + Corinna when I was writing a blog post for a handbag that I saw on Gossip Girl (click here for that) and since then, I've been seeing them around a lot. The brand is certainly a celebrity favourite.

Dana Foley and Anna Corinna were both internationally known fashionistas who came together to make the amazing brand that exists today. Since then, they have been invited to major events, have designs sold in boutiques and department stores across the world and have been featured in many top fashion magazines. Celebrity fans of their pieces include Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, the Gossip Girl cast and of course, their characters!

Nina hits the UK high street

In early June, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (stars of the hit TV show The Vampire Diaries) came to London to promote the series. They did appearances with Bliss, HMV, This Morning, among others, and of course couldn't leave without exploring some of what the London high street has to offer.

My favourite item is the "Light Tie Waist Chambray Shirt" but I can't help but love the leather jacket - it's so typical Nina. (We have a previous post on Nina Dobrev's love of leather jackets here).

Hanna Marin (Pretty Little Liars) makeup tutorial

Makeup of a Queen Bee

I was watching Pretty Little Liars this morning and found myself really liking Hanna's makeup. So I played around with some of my own to try and recreate the look and here is a tutorial on how to do it!

1. First prepare your face using your own personal facial routine. That can be using moisturiser, primer, foundation etc - whatever you usually wear.

2. For the eyes, take any light brown/nude eyeshadow (preferably a cream eyeshadow or one with a matte finish) and apply/blend it just on the lid.

3. Then take a black eyeliner (I used No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in colour 05 Black) and apply a thick layer on the upper lash line. For the lower lash line, apply a thin but intense line. For mascara, I used Covergirl's Lashblast in Very Black.

4. For the face, apply an orange-brown blush or bronzer all the way across the cheeks. I used the Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder by Bourjois in the colour 52. Make sure to pack on the bronzer, and then buff it in afterwards.

5. For the lips take any bright pink lipgloss and for this I used the No7 Liplicious in the colour Cherry Kiss.

There you have it! I'd say this look is more for special occasions or events, but makeup is a question of preference, so use it as you like. I hope it helped, and thanks for reading.

Are you guys enjoying the World Cup? As a huge football fan I certainly am, and for those of you who watched the kick-off concert the night before the opening day, you would've seen Shakira tear up the stage with her amazing performances.

Roberto Cavalli was called on to design her outfit, a black and white zebra print jumpsuit combined with a silk fringed skirt. Shakira, of course, looked fantastic.

Topshop clogs fit for travel

Miley is seen here at LAX Airport, looking casual yet very well put together. I think this is mainly down to the way she finished off her outfit with the choice of some stand out leather clogs.

I would usually never think to buy shoes like that, but I love the way they keep Miley looking casual, but still give her a bit of an edge. I personally wouldn't wear pumps like these for travelling, but for casual events or outtings, they're a must have.

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm writing this to give you a bit of an update on what's been going on with the site and what's coming up in the near future.

Firstly, I have finished my exams for this year and so I will hopefully be posting more frequently from now on, and have more time to research fashion news for all you awesome followers.

I completely agree. I would really like to start incoporating this idea into my posts, but bear with me as it's something I haven't done before. Nick kids love high fashion

Pictured above are Miranda Cosgrove and Keke Palmer, both rocking fabulous outfits at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards. I love both the cute style of Miranda's dress and Keke's celebration of colour - perfect choices for the event. Although their dresses are completely different, the one thing they have in common are their peep toe shoes, which are none other than Christian Louboutin.

Shoes are pretty much a girl's best friend when it comes to fashion and I'm sure you all know and love Christian Louboutin. His shoes are genius. They are simple and sophisticated, yet still so glamourous - one of my favourite brands of shoes! The brand also has some edgier choices and a collection of handbags to go with your statement shoes!

As I mentioned before in a previous post, I'm a huge Twilight Saga fan. Nikki Reed is my favourite female actor from the movies. I think she's stunning and very intelligent both personally and as an actor. I thought she looked beautiful at the KCAs this year.

Nikki is wearing a Cynthia Steffe dress. I hadn't heard of her either! So, I searched the designer and checked it out. The brand consists mainly of cute and casual dresses - most of which are florals. Nikki glammed up her dress (the "Sam" Ruffled Floral dress) using a silver clutch, shoes and jewellery.

Although I'm kind of disappointed that Demi didn't try something more fun and original at the Kids' Choice Awards, she does look beautiful and she certainly stuck to her inner rocker roots. Demi is wearing a Black Faith dress (of course) and Rene Caovilla shoes.

I'd never heard of Rene Caovilla so I browsed some of the collection (I actually came across it earlier whilst writing another post which will be coming up soon) - it's a high-end Italian brand. The shoes are original and definitely styles you won't come across often. I can see different shoes going with completely different types of outfits and fashion styles. Some of my favourites had more of a girly vibe.

Victoria Justice never looked better! She is pictured above at the Kids' Choice Awards last night. Her new Nickelodeon show "Victorious" also premiered last night after the awards.

Victoria should give her stylish a raise! Her dress is glamourous but age appropriate and the colour is gorgeous and suits her really well. The shoes go well with the outfit. My only problem is the hair. It's gorgeous, but she should have ditched the blonde extensions - stick to your roots girl (literally)!

Miley Cyrus must love her life. She's a multiaward winning actor and singer and probably the most famous teen in the world. She has an amazing career and not to mention impeccable taste.

Miley is pictured above at the UK premiere of "The Hannah Montana Movie" and at this year's Grammys wearing Hervé Léger. These dresses are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Miley looks her age, yet sophisticated and just, WOW! I also really like the way she accessorizes the outfits.

Who would have thought that Bella Swan could be a fashion icon? Well maybe not, but her jeans are definitely something to talk about. A week ago today the Twilight world went crazy when the Eclipse trailer was finally released. Of course I was too busy focusing on the action, but while reading about the trailer afterwards I saw that Bella's two coloured jeans (pictured above) were by Adriano Goldschmied.

I'm sure you're all aware of my gushing over Miley Cyrus' dress at the Oscars this year. Well, when you love a dress the only option is to hunt down the designer immediately, and that's what I did!

Miley's dress was designed by Jenny Packham. Jenny Packham is a Luxury Design House which consists mainly of Bridal and Ready to Wear Dresses. The line has many uniquely designed dresses which are contemporary yet glamorous - certainly show-stopper material! Miley's dress in particular was a bridal dress, but before it was ready for the red carpet, it had to be altered and dyed.

Also sporting a Jenny Packham design during the festivities was Vanessa Anne Hudgens who wore the most gorgeous black dress to the Vanity Fair party:

The Academy Awards 2010: The Red Carpet

WOW. Words cannot even begin to describe how amazing the red carpet was at the Oscars on Sunday night. Everyone looked gorgeous! I can honestly say that no one stood out as looking bad. I don't think any other red carpet in the past or future will ever top it. First here is my pick for best dressed:

Miley looked absolutely flawless. The dress has to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and her hair and makeup suit the dress and the occasion perfectly. For someone so young at such a grown up event, Miley simply blew me away. She definitely stood out as my pick for this year's best dressed! (The dress is by Jenny Packham, who I'll be doing a post on at some point in the near future). As I said before, everyone looked breath-taking. Here are my picks (in no particular order) for honourable mentions at the Oscars red carpet:

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are three gorgeous girls who are always looking on top of their fashion game. At every event they look fresh, glamourous and totally gorgeous. This is why I am excited at the recent release of their new clothing line!

Their clothing line is for Bebe and they held a fashion show for it during New York fashion week. What I love about the line is that the clothes are exactly what the girls would and even do wear (all dresses pictured above are a part of the line). I am a huge fan of Selena Gomez and this outfit just makes me love her even more! Selena is a huge fashion icon for me. She wears cute clothes, has amazing style and just knows how to put an outfit together in an age appropriate way. Not to mention she's totally stunning. Anyway, enough of my adoration...

This post is focusing on that cute little green bag she is wearing. I love the way it adds a sophisticated feel to her outfit. Although the bag is perfect for a day of shopping, it can certainly double for an evening clutch as well.

Blake Lively must love playing Upper East Side It Girl Serena van der Woodsen. Serena always makes a fashion statement whether it's at school, walking down the street, or at a high society event.

Hey everyone.

Wow I apologise for not having updated the site in almost a year. That is far too long and I've noticed that the site still gets many visitors and followers. I would like to say thank you very much for still loving the site and I hope I can make it up by being back in full swing!

I plan to keep making posts on where you can buy what celebrities are wearing, whether it be tops, dresses, shoes, handbags, accessories - whatever! That is how the site started and I still think it is a very good concept so I will definitely keep that going.

However, I think that to only post that would be quite limiting, so I have decided I will use this blog as a fashion blog in general! The blog will keep its focus on celebrity style and how it can be achieved. This could be through buying the exact items a celebrity has worn, or through using celebrity style as inspiration to find your own amazing fashion finds.

Please bear in mind that the site is in no way telling you that you should dress like celebrities, or forcing you to copy what famous people are wearing. However, there are many times when I see a famous person and think "WOW I love what they are wearing!" and so I want to find something similar because I think it would also look great on me! So that being said I hope you continue to visit and love the site!
